We are looking for a qualified candidate to join us as a Dispatcher.
U.S. Sedan Worldwide is seeking a Dispatcher, who will work with a large Dispatch department. Must be able to maintain effective daily communication with drivers, including those run by subcontractors. Continually monitor service making proactive adjustments to maximize on time performance and productivity. Demonstrate effective use of scheduling software, telephone and data analysis skills. Successful applicant will report to the Dispatch Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
The following is not intended to be a comprehensive list of the essential functions of the Dispatcher position, but rather a general description of some of the requirements necessary to carry out the duties and responsibilities of this position. The Dispatch Supervisor must be able to perform the following tasks, among others:
- Dispatching and scheduling
- Coordinate all variables and dispatch chauffeurs to ensure timely pick-ups.
- Provide direction and guidance to Chauffeurs to minimize delays and service issues.
- Maintain constant communication with chauffeurs, management, and reservations staff.
- Anticipate any service or logistical issues in order to avoid client dissatisfaction.
- Maintaining solid customer relationships by handling client questions and concerns
- Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance
- Enter data in computer system and maintain logs and records of activities and other information
- Cultivate strong relationships with drivers and customers to reduce the stress that comes with last minute schedule changes
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of windows-based computer operating systems and functional knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software.
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to use multi-line phone system.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks accurately and effectively.
- Ability to work independently and objectively.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Provide excellent customer service and present a professional demeanor and appearance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of windows-based computer operating systems and functional knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software.
