Dispatch/ Customer Service Representative

COMPENSATION
$22.00 - $25.00 HR / DOE
SUMMARY
Peak Ready Mix, a Summit Materials llc company, is looking for a
Dispatch/Customer Service Representative. This person is responsible for
taking customer orders, scheduling deliveries, and dispatching drivers to
meet daily volume requirements. This role requires maintaining professionalism
over phone/radio, solving problems quickly, and managing high-stress
situations. Duties include inputting accurate orders, coordinating driver
schedules, verifying delivery details, and ensuring efficient route
planning. The role also involves driver timekeeping functions, managing
time-off requests, and reviewing timecards and delivery reports. Strong
multitasking and communication skills are essential for success in this
fast-pa
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Take orders from customers (via Phone) and appropriately schedule them
with our availability
Dispatch and control the Drivers needed throughout the day and make any
necessary
adjustments to maintain daily volume requirements.
Have a professional and respectful voice over the phone/radio, with the
ability to deescalate
tense situations.
Able to remain calm and decisive in a potentially high stress/fast-paced
work environment.
Solve problems in a timely manner while fostering lasting business
relationships with our
customers/drivers.
Must be familiar with our delivery areas and must be able to assist drivers in
finding job sites.
Must be able to determine travel time to jobs and best plant locations to
service the job.
Accurately and promptly input orders to customer specifications for delivery.
Review and verify accurate delivery and product information on orders prior to
delivery.
Must be able to perform in high call volume situations while multitasking with
plants, drivers,
team members in the office.
Coordinate Driver timekeeping functions, including receiving and documenting
time off
requests. As well as, maintaining Driver time off schedule in respect to
sick time and personal
days.
Daily review of Driver timecards, delivery time reports and time entry/
tracking in NOVAtime
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each
essential duty
satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the
knowledge, skills, and/or
ability required.
Education and/or Experience
A minimum of 3 years' customer service experience required.
High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Prior dispatch experience, tracking and scheduling is preferred.
Bi-Lingual (Spanish/English) will be highly looked upon.
Computer Skills: Command, NOVAtime, MS Office, typing skills,
internet navigation.
Schedule
Summer hours: Monday - Friday 7am - 5pm
Winter hours: Tuesday - Friday 8am- 4pm
