Brush Creek Distillery https://brushcreekdistillery.c... is searching for a highly talented, ambitious, and knowledgeable individual to serve as our Finance and Operations Manager, ensuring our company's accounting and operations procedures run smoothly. Your primary duties will include managing financial records, direct involvement and oversight of sales reporting, record-keeping initiatives, and responsibilities tied to our on-site distillery operations and off-site sales and distribution channels. A successful candidate should be very attentive to details, have strong math skills, and be able to work on multiple task efficiently in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused environment. We also expect you to be trustworthy, and possess excellent commuincation and customer service skills.
OPPORTUNITY
Independently owned and operated, the distillery is located in south-central Wyoming, on a 30,000-acre working cattle ranch that host a collection of world-renowned, luxury properties, know as Brush Creek Ranch https://www.brushcreekranch.co., in Saratoga, WY. The position will report directly to the distillery's Managing Director, and in tandem with our operations and front-of-house teams, contracted partners, vendors, and on-site farm and ranch partners and departments. This is definitely not a "one size fits all' role, but rather a unique opportunity to work with talented spirits professionals in an elevated environment, while actively growing, and promoting, our American West inspired program and products.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in AR/AP data collection and reporting in conjunction with our contracted CPA partner
- Active participant in supply chain initiatives, cost forecasting, and inventory management
- Assist in the management /tracking of spends, ensuring accurate and timely processing tracking, and reporting
- P & L Management - conducting regular P & L reviews w/ upper management, principals, departments and contract partners
- Take the lead in coordinating all budgeting and planning activities
- Work with all departments as it pertains to price optimization initiatives
- Support management in the preparation of state and federal compliance initiatives with other distillery members
- Provide internal review and support for distributor, broker, and compliance billing
- Actively observe, guide, and support front-of-house (FOH) operations, including inventory forecasting, purchases, promotion, management, and replenishment needs to ensure profitability
- Execute back-of-house (BOH) operations, including inventory transfers and reporting
- Active involvement in staffing, scheduling, training, and oversight of a team of full-time, part-time, and seasonal employees in multiple areas of the distillery's on & off-site operations
- Support and participate in certain aspects of the distillery's 'Guest Experiences' (as-needed) to ensure the highest level of quality, attention, and overall enjoyment for guests, visitors, and trade partners
- Ensure consistency and simplicity of all financial tools to include budgeting, planning, and reporting
- Active involvement, support, and communication to upper management regarding on & off-site staff
- Actively train, coach, develop, and discipline employees through ongoing feedback and the establishment of performance expectations
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
- Education: BS/BA in Finance, Accounting or related field
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills required & ability to analyze data for key insights
- Working knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping practices
- Supply-Chain Management - knowledge of on-hand inventory, incoming/outgoing deliveries, and maintenance of records and invoices
- Experience in POS systems (ex: Micros, Toast, Square, etc...)
- Safety & Sanitation - Background knowledge, awareness, and communication
- Compliance - Awareness in local, state, and federal regulations
- Employee Management & Observation
- Highly analytical and possess excellent problem-solving skills, sound decision-making, and the ability to meet deadlines
- Be a highly motivated and self-directed individual
- Must be able to relocate to Saratoga, WY
- Ability to perform and/or support opening, mid, and closing shift duties (as needed)
- Manage/Oversee daily operations including: cleanliness, organization, and revenue opportunities
- Ability to quickly and accurately identify critical information and make independent judgements in accordance with business practices
