The DC Operations Supervisor is responsible for leading all aspects of their respective department.
The Ops Supervisor will have a team consisting of 35-45 hourly associates that are assigned by areas of the distribution center and work under the direction of the Operations Manager – Distribution Center.
This candidate will be responsible for specific departments in operations including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, stocking, inventory, QA. Ops Supervisors are responsible for the management of communications, associate direction and feedback, staff balancing by work assignment in addition to overall throughput levels.
This role will work closely with the Technology, Sourcing & Purchasing and Logistics teams to support smooth and efficient operations. Ops Supervisors drive flow and efficiency across their DC operation department utilizing data and associate feedback to measure results. Candidate will strive to balance the need for efficiency improvement as well as consistently delivering on time orders to our customers.
This position will be measured on a) Effective leadership b) Meeting customer and departmental SLA's, associate’s performance, and overall efficiency.
Specific Duties
- Responsible for tactical leadership of a department or departments within operations in a manner that meets customer expectations.
- Provide leadership and guidance to Associates while holding individuals accountable to performance and attendance expectations.
- Drives Process Improvement across their respective department using data to measure results and positively recognizing associates
- Accountable for the implementation of all company policies/procedures, facility cleanliness, employee safety and customer centric practices while ensuring company values and competencies are practiced throughout the facility at all levels.
- Manages fulfillment operations including but not limited to management communications, staff balancing and work assignments, work scheduling and processing, and throughput levels.
- Selects, guides, trains, and motivates DC associates to provide fulfillment services that optimize customer service, cost, quality, delivery, and customer satisfaction.
- Performs and executes all other duties assigned by direct leadership.

- Effective leadership of the team
- Delivering 95% or higher In-Stock On-Time Shipments to Customers
- Delivering performance and quality metrics as defined in assigned area of distribution center.
- Delivering Staff Schedules that meet customer need while providing consistency to the associate.
- Consistently holding Associates accountable for attendance, productivity rates, company policy, employee safety and facility cleanliness and associate recognition.
- Develop and Implementation of process improvement initiatives that support a best-in-class customer experience.
- Realized through customer feedback and Order Accuracy metrics.
- Strengthening of DC culture guided by our values and tenants while creating a productive relationship with associates:

Requirements
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Dynamic, high-energy leader with track record as an effective communicator and uses a collaborative approach to problem solving.
- 5+ years of direct progressive management experience (30+ associates) in a fast-paced high-growth distribution environment.
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Experience with a contingent workforce during peak seasons
- Possess strong communication, business, and technical, analytical skills.
- Must be comfortable talking in front of large groups.

Candidates must be flexible to work weekends and/or different shifts regularly. We are a 24-hour facility. While this position is primarily a Monday-Friday role the candidate must be open and willing to work various shifts / hours as the needs of the company dictate. This could be different shifts or weekend work as dictated by business needs.
