SUMMARY: Assists with routine tasks at all Thrift Stores. Primary function of the position is pickup and delivery of donated/purchased items through all three Thrift Stores and taking unsellable items to the land fill. Other duties include, but are not limited to assisting store staff and/or customers to load/unload items, customer assistance, and as needed, functions as Driver in the regular Driver's absence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Accepts, on a daily basis, work/pick up/delivery assignments from the Distribution Manager
- Assists with the loading/unloading of donated/purchased items on daily pickups and deliveries. Provides donation receipts as requested.
- Assists customers as needed with loading and unloading purchases and/or donations at all thrift store locations.
- Assists in each store as scheduled with moving, rearranging and restructuring of furniture areas; assists with movement of large appliances.
- Cleans various store areas (all stores) inside and out as needed or required; must at all times be alert for the safety and security of customers/staff/clients on the premises. Assists with clearing drop-off areas at all three stores, as needed.
- Treats the public, at all times, in a courteous, cheerful and tactful manner.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred, but not required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid Florida driver license with safe driver rating required.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to deal courteously, tactfully and efficiently with staff members and the general public.
Emotional stability and maturity with a genuine interest in working with program participants.
Capable of working a flexible schedule; adapts to "short notice" changes in work schedule.
Willingness to comply with in-service, training or other mandates.
Ability to work independently or unsupervised.
