This position also serves as a stepping stone for potential future opportunities in design and CAD positions within our organization. Our client is in search of individuals who are exceptional organizers, adept at written communication, and well-versed in essential computer software like the MS Office Suite. If you come with experience in design or line construction within a utility environment, that's certainly a plus. Knowledge of GIS systems and basic data structures would be an advantage. Your self-motivation and capacity to excel independently in outdoor settings will be crucial in this role.

Responsibilities: As a Field Technician, you will be tasked with collecting vital field data pertinent to utility facilities. This data plays a critical role in updating facility records and generating design documents. Operating under the guidance of senior technical or engineering personnel, your tasks will encompass:

• Safety Adherence: Follow safety practices outlined in the Safety Manual, promoting a safety-first ethos in all undertakings.
• Accurate Data Collection: Meticulously gather field data using various tools, ranging from electronic devices to cameras and paper forms.
• Independent Initiative: Identify and document field items with minimal supervision, highlighting your independent problem-solving capabilities.
• Embracing Technology: Swiftly adopt and effectively employ technology tools such as GPS devices, laser range finders, and data collection units.
• Precision in Measurement: Record measurements and dimensions precisely, adhering closely to project specifications.
• Documenting Field Work: Create clear, understandable documentation of data and measurements using appropriate standards.
• Meeting Targets: Contribute to meeting production targets and grasp the significance of project deliverables.
• Emergency Response: Assist in power restoration efforts during natural disasters, potentially assuming roles like driver, wire sitter, or runner.
• Intermittent Travel: Be open to occasional overnight travel, accommodating project needs.
