About the Job
Required Qualifications
- be at least 20 years old
- have a valid driver’s license and authorization to drive a company vehicle (on or before his or her start date in the position)
- have a Bachelor’s degree in information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering or Business discipline or have an Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering, or business related field with at least 3 years of relevant IT systems experience or have at least 6 years of Supply Chain experience or Publix experience working closely with Supply Chain
- have a willingness to work a variable schedule including nights, holidays and weekends to meet Industrial Operations’ business needs. Requires the ability to travel with overnight stays
- have a willingness to work until the job is done, which can require extended work hours during a period of time.
- have a willingness to accept change, as well as be a positive change agent
- have a willingness to work on-call, as needed, and be available for emergency contact and support
- have in-depth knowledge of how products flow through the Supply Chain (manufacturing, procurement, warehousing, transportation and retail)
- have expert knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel, Visual Basic for Applications and advanced knowledge of various other business analytics tools (e.g. MicroStrategy, Tableau)
- have knowledge of Publix Corporate and Distribution strategy
- have knowledge of Supply Chain industry practices, including transportation rate structures
- have in-depth knowledge of database management systems (e.g. IBM DB2, SQL Server, Teradata, Oracle, and Informix)
- have knowledge of Federal and State Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
- have knowledge of project management principles and techniques
- have strong leadership skills
- have strong interpersonal, coaching, and leadership skills
- must have high expectations
- be able to write efficient, complex SQL queries
- be able to aggregate and analyze large data sets
- be able to effectively and efficiently complete special assignments with minimal direction or supervision
- be able to communicate both verbally and in written format
- be able to work autonomously and be a self-starter
- be able to recognize value in new industry practices
- be able to analyze and design processes utilizing Business Process Modeling methodology
- be able to plan, manage, and successfully execute large-scale, cross-functional improvement projects

Preferred Qualifications
- have a Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering, or Business discipline
- have five years of Supply Chain experience and
- have Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) certification
