| District Manager Purpose: A District Manager is responsible for overseeing several Duck Thru Food Stores in an assigned area throughout North Carolina and Virginia. District Managers supervise Store Managers, Store Assistant Managers, and other store personnel within their district. Employee is ultimately responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer service throughout each assigned store. Jobholder is a role model and leader to all hired Duck Thru Food Store staff and must solve problems, make informed decisions, manage the workforce, and manage time wisely in order to achieve maximum results.
District Manager Responsibilities: - Managing sales and operations
- Oversee preparation of merchandise placement and displays
- Work with both vendors and store managers to ensure adequate merchandise and stock of that merchandise in multiple stores
- Collaborate with store managers on issues of store cleanliness, maintenance, employee hiring, etc.
- Conduct orientation, train, and coach the management staff in execution of daily tasks and to maximize sales
- Participate in administering company policies and developing long range goals and objectives.
- Controlling expenses and payroll budgets
- Handling personnel issues
- Conducting store audits such as loss prevention audits, cash audits, food service audits, and more
District Manager Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s Degree
- C-Store multi-management experience required or equivalent education
- Must have a valid driver’s license and provide proof of insurance
- Thorough knowledge of retail practices and procedures
- Written communication skills to compose reports and work-related manuals
- Oral communication skills to communicate with customers, co-workers, vendors, and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner
- Interpersonal communication skills to negotiate agreements favorable to the Company, reconciling differences to arrive at acceptable solutions
- Ability to develop and administer an expense budget for several profit centers
- Highly responsible
