Summary: The District Manager is responsible for creating an outstanding guest experience and growing restaurant profitability by recruiting, developing, training and retaining restaurant managers; measuring and improving restaurant guest satisfaction; working with restaurant managers to increase guest transactions, build sales, increase profitability and protect franchise assets; and ensuring all brand standards are followed. This position is responsible for a minimum of five (5) restaurant locations.
Main Location: 217 North Main Street, Rutland, VT.
Responsibilities:
- Recruits, develops, trains and retains qualified restaurant managers, including assistant managers to ensure the vision and values of the organization are upheld at each restaurant location.
- Educates and develops Restaurant Managers to utilize available systems, tools and staff resources to ensure the restaurant is sufficiently staffed to meet brand standards for hours of operations and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Works with Network Manager and other District Managers and Multi-Unit Leaders to develop, implement and continuously improve restaurant manager certification process.
- Drives and monitors pre & post training activities for restaurant managers and staff to ensure that training is changing behaviors in the restaurant.
- Monitors, identifies and assesses restaurant training needs in order to coach Restaurant Managers to create and implement organization and training plans meeting Dunkin Brands requirements.
- Monitors crew & management turnover and forecasts staffing needs against sales, turnover and growth.
- Ensures that all company, federal and state laws, rules and regulations are followed
- Uses GSS, Dunkin Brands Consumer Care and internal customer complaint tools to track, identify trends per restaurant.
- Use trend information to identify problems and create action plans.
- Ensures that customer complaints are resolved in with 24 hours of receipt.
- Solicits feedback from guests during every restaurant visit and correlates with trend information.
- Uses operational assessments, including self-assessments, to identify root causes and create action plans for improvement.
- Leads and develops Restaurant Managers to achieve operations excellence as measured by corporate representative at brand standard of 80% or better.
- Uses data and systems identified in ROR (Red Book, line bar, guest counts, throwaways, DT timers) to develop restaurant leadership to achieve and maintain long-term results.
- Ensures Restaurant Mangers execute the current company plan-o-grams and programs to meet brand standards.
- Explores LSM opportunities by traveling trade area to evaluate current situation and environment, then uses that knowledge to create plans to build the business.
- Coaches Restaurant Managers to ensure in restaurant opportunities are utilized, i.e., merchandising, suggestive selling, courtesy sampling to increase guest traffic and build sales.
- Assists the Franchise Business Development & Operations Director and Network Manager in identifying growth opportunities, executes new product initiatives and marketing programs, and addressing notices to cure as appropriate.
- Assists the Network Manager and the Restaurant Managers in identifying steps to build sales within restaurants, meet cost category targets and increase profitability.
- Ensures that contracted services are scheduled and delivered in accordance with executed agreements.
- Creates plans to address preventative maintenance issues and ensures that preventative maintenance plans are followed.

Education, Experience & Attributes:
- College degree in business or other related field is required. Prior management or military leadership experience is preferred.

Additional Qualifications:
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must have a valid Class D Driver’s License and Automobile Insurance Card
- Must clear a credit and criminal history background check
- Must have a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) with no driving-related suspension, revocation or cancellation; no disqualifying offenses; no more than two moving violations; and no reckless or distracted driving violations within a three-year period. Within the last seven years candidates may not have any major driving offenses, e.g. DUI, DWI, refusal to test, leaving the scene, or at fault fatal accident.

- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced production environment
- Ability to use eye, hand, arm, foot and leg motor coordination skills
- Ability to exert physical effort in handling (pushing, pulling, lifting) objects more than between 10-20 pounds frequently
- Ability to work 40+ hours per week as needed
- Ability to sit while operating a motor vehicle for long periods of time
Salary Range: $56k - $65k
