Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, specializes in precision and linear motion products. Known for innovation, they are looking to expand their team with a dedicated District Manager to help grow their market presence and drive sales.
Job Description:
The District Manager will oversee an assigned territory, focusing on growing market share, managing client relationships, and driving sales performance. This position requires a proactive and technically skilled individual who is comfortable with frequent travel and client-facing activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets within the assigned territory.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers through in-person visits and ongoing communication.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including Sales Administration and Engineering, to support customer requirements.
- Manage sales processes end-to-end, including order follow-ups, delivery, and account receivables.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, develop strategies for growth, and participate in trade shows.
- Conduct product training sessions quarterly and attend regional sales meetings.
- Timely submission of reports, including sales activities, expense reports, and sales forecasts.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; relevant experience may substitute.
- Experience: 2-5 years in sales within manufacturing, motion control, or related industries preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with linear motion products like guides, actuators, and bearings is highly beneficial.
- Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with AS400 is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, time management, multitasking abilities, and eagerness to learn.
Additional Details:
- Travel Requirements: Role involves significant travel, typically four days a week, with some monthly out-of-state travel.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to carry sample cases (approx. 24 lbs each) and participate in relevant industry trade shows.
