Job Summary and Qualifications
The Division AVP Quality is responsible for the oversight and guidance of Quality, Clinical Excellence & Regulatory Compliance, throughout the South Atlantic Division, which includes acute care hospital systems and free-standing Emergency Departments across a large geographic area spanning three states, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. The AVP is also responsible for managing and coordinating Quality and Patient Safety initiatives, Infection Control, Medical Staff Services, and Emergency Management activities in order to support the division strategic plan and goals, and meet HCA quality objectives and standards. The position also coordinates his/her work closely with the Division VP Quality and the Division Chief Medical Officer. Responsible for ensuring facility compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Conditions of Participation, Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA), Disease Specific Certifications, and other standards, rules and regulations. Acts as the DVPQ in their absence. Position requires occasional travel as well as temporary placement or support of hospitals in need of quality or patient safety leadership.
What qualifications you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree (MHA, MBA, MSN, or related field) required
- Clinical background required
- 5+ years of experience in Management and Leadership in a clinical and quality improvement setting in an Acute Care Hospital required
- Certified Professional Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) and Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) required
