What You Will Be Doing
As the Director of the Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV), you will lead a critical agency tasked with ensuring the ongoing efficient and effective operation of motor vehicle services across our great state. Be instrumental in overseeing the implementation of new and continuing initiatives to improve customer experience as well as streamline and enforce regulatory compliance. Nurture a culture of excellence and accountability among a diverse team of professionals through excellent leadership and by example. Collaborate directly with state officials, stakeholders, and community groups to address any emergency issues that arise and promote innovative solutions to address them. In addition, you will get the opportunity to work directly with the Legislative branch of our government to develop and enact change in state legislation.

The Working Environment You Can Expect
Our flagship Anchorage DMV branch office is located within the University Center in mid-town Anchorage. Conveniently positioned a short walk or drive to many amenities. Ample employee parking is provided.
Our Juneau branch office is located off Glacier Highway on Sherwood Lane, tucked away in nature. Close to a number of amenities such as coffee, restaurants, and gyms.
Who We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of motor vehicle laws and regulations, and a proven track record in managing large-scale operations. In addition, we are looking for someone who has the following competencies:
