About the Job
Your Tailor Made Senior Service is seeking a motivated and organized DME Coordinator/Manager to oversee the management and coordination of durable medical equipment (DME) for our clients. The DME Coordinator/Manager will ensure that our clients receive the right equipment, in a timely manner, to enhance their quality of life and support their health needs. This position is integral to our commitment to exceptional client care, helping seniors receive the necessary equipment for safe and comfortable living.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate DME Orders: Manage all aspects of DME ordering, tracking, and delivery, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of client needs.
• Vendor Relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with DME suppliers and vendors to ensure quality, cost-effective services.
• Client Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding DME needs, including answering inquiries, addressing concerns, and coordinating deliveries.
• Inventory Management: Oversee and manage DME inventory to ensure availability of necessary equipment and prompt replenishment.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including proper documentation, billing procedures, and reporting requirements.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with nursing and care teams to identify client needs and determine appropriate DME.
• Quality Control: Inspect equipment upon receipt and monitor usage to ensure the highest standards of safety and functionality.
• Cost Control and Budgeting: Manage DME-related costs and maintain budget adherence, negotiating with vendors as needed for optimal pricing.
Qualifications
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or coursework in healthcare or business management preferred.
• Experience: 2 years in DME management or healthcare coordination, ideally within a home health or senior services setting.
Skills:
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Proficiency in relevant software for inventory, order tracking, and client records. • Knowledge of DME types, usage, and Medicare/insurance processes is a plus.
