DMH/DASA/IBHRS Reporting Specialist
Full-Time; FTE 1.0
Monday-Friday; 7:00am-4:30pm

This position is responsible for prompt and accurate registration, billing and follow-up for RYC services provided to clients covered by DMH (Department of Mental Health) and/or SUPR (Division of Substance Use, Prevention, and Recovery) state funding. The role includes communication with clients, UPH staff, and state representatives utilizing the Robert Young Center’s Trauma Informed Care Guiding Principles.

Responsibilities:- Reviews newly registered patients in VisionWorks for eligibility of DMH and SUPR funds.
- Ensures information is accurate in VisionWorks and sets up registrations for eligible patients.
- Generates and submits Registration batches to DMH and SUPR.
- Runs and works pre-bill and reconciliation reports to ensure accurate submission.
- Reconciles registration and services reports returned from the state and corrects any errors or denials for resubmission.
- Understands the relationship of timely and thorough claims follow-up to assist in the reduction of days in Accounts Receivable (AR) and state funding turn around.

Education:
| Minimum of a High School degree or GED. | Medical Billing or Health Information Management |
Experience:
| Experience in a medical office setting, verifying insurance. | Exposure to accounts receivable or billing experience |
License(s)/Certification(s):

| Registered Health Information Technician Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons. |
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
| Skills in the operations of computers and other office equipment including Microsoft Office Communication skills both written and verbal
| Communication with external stakeholders, including insurance companies |
Other:
| Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
