Position Title: Pediatric Physical Therapist

Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our team. In this full-time position, you will provide specialized physical therapy services to students with autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities. You will work closely with a transdisciplinary team to create and implement individualized treatment plans that support the unique needs of each student.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough physical therapy evaluations to determine students' needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions.
• Provide direct physical therapy services to students with autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities.
• Collaborate with families, teachers, and other professionals to support students' physical development.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of student progress and treatment plans.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of comprehensive care plans.
• Stay current with best practices and advancements in pediatric physical therapy.

Qualifications:

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Minimum of 1-year experience working with students on the autism spectrum or with developmental disabilities.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of New York
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with students, families, and staff.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a transdisciplinary team.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices.
