Job Details
We are seeking an experienced Document Controller with a solid background in operations and project technical support, document management, and IT systems/tools. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of information and documentation needs within oil and gas facilities and be proficient in PowerBI, RFIs, RFQs, and technical drawings. You will play a critical role in ensuring effective document control processes to support the smooth operation of our projects.

 

Oversee document management processes for both operational and project-related documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
Maintain a structured and accessible document control system, organizing RFIs, RFQs, engineering drawings, and other technical documents.
Ensure proper handling, storage, and distribution of all controlled documents, both electronically and physically.
Support operations and project teams with technical documentation, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date, complete, and distributed appropriately.
Collaborate with IT to optimize and maintain document management systems and tools.
Generate reports and provide insights using PowerBI to assist in decision-making and project progress tracking.
Manage document workflows and approval processes, ensuring timely review and authorization of documents.
Liaise with engineering, procurement, and project teams to ensure documentation aligns with operational needs.
Assist in the preparation and review of technical documentation, including manuals, project procedures, and specifications.
Ability and willingness to work with teams based outside of the US.
Ability and willingness to learn, work in and develop as needed reporting systems including but not limited to the Power Platform, SharePoint etc.
This will be a hybrid/ on site role as business needs dictate.

 

Proven experience as a Document Controller in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.
Strong understanding of document control principles in operating facilities.
Proficient in PowerBI, with the ability to create dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
Familiarity with RFIs, RFQs, engineering drawings, and project documentation standards.
Experience with IT systems and document management tools (e.g., EDMS).
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

 

Certification in Document Control or a related field.
Experience in managing documentation for large-scale projects.
On Site work experience in O&G and or Petrochemicals.
Knowledge of industry-specific document control software and best practices.
