Duties / Responsibilities:
- Input data extract/retrieve data and run required reports in the asset tracking system Government database.
- Prepare advertising orders and seizure notice letters for all administrative forfeiture actions once the Probable Cause Statement is returned concurred from the Office of Chief Counsel.
- Track all letters/documents sent via commercial carrier to ensure that tracking is captured.
- Prepare petition receipt letters and investigation memos, as well as claim letters upon receipt of filed petitions or claims.
- Review the file and for declaration of administrative forfeiture ensuring that all interested parties were successfully noticed, and that the internet advertisement was posted to forfeiture.gov.
- Create and send miscellaneous letters as needed using templates provided by the Government.
- Reconcile inconsistencies in the type or substance of the data entered into the Government database by contractor personnel.
- Maintain physical and electronic seizure files, reconciling inconsistencies, gathering and organizing documentation in the seizure file.
- Analyze and interpret documentation in the seizure file to ensure that seizure and asset data is entered correctly into the Government database.
- Report findings of errors or inconsistencies in seizure files or data entered in the Government database to the Government verbally or in writing.
- Review seizure files prior to closing to ensure that the file is complete and accurate.
- Drafts and prepare letters using templates as guides.
- Other duties as mission needed and within the scope of this contract.
Minimum Requirements:
- U.S. Citizen.
- Associate degree or two years of data analysis work experience that demonstrates records management (along with a High School Diploma or GED Certificate)
- Active Public Trust Tier 4a Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally, and in writing.
- One year of general work experience.
- Able to disclose COVID-19 vaccination status and abide by contract/department’s COVID-19 guidance when accessing any facility.
Background Investigation:
This position requires that you obtain a Public Trust Tier 4a/BI (Background Investigation) Suitability Assessment from our client. As part of this process, the government will perform a criminal, credit, tax, employment, and drug history background check. The government has varying tolerances, with mitigating circumstances, for issues in all of the categories. The government is essentially looking to confirm that you are generally in good financial standing, up to date on your tax filings, rehire eligible with your prior employers, and have adhered to any federal restrictions on illegal drug use, including marijuana, in addition to other checks related on your character and trust worthiness.
