Position Summary
Under close supervision processes documentation. May be responsible for one or more of the following methods: correspondence (transcribed dictation) or imaging.
- There are 2 open positions.
- The successful candidate will work from home and must live in ERIE's Footprint.
- The successful candidate must be able to type a minimum of 55 wpm.
Duties and Responsibilities
Processes documents utilizing required method.
Updates and maintains statistical database of completed jobs to track operator/department activity.
Specific duties by discipline:
Correspondence:
Transcribes dictated correspondence as well as documents and projects from other media for Word Processing users, according to standards and procedures.
Types and proofreads documents.
Reviews final copies for accuracy, and queues to remote printers.
Updates and maintains statistical database as needed to track operator/department activity.
Develops and maintains a working knowledge of various word processing and other software.
Imaging:
Validates documents to organize customer data for both electronic and paper documents.
Verifies accuracy of metadata before sending image to document storage system.
Converts electronic mail to a usable document for business software.
Prepares, organizes and scans paper documents into software to release for validation of documents.
Maintains businesses microfilm jackets for specified documents.

Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required. Must be able to work as a remote Employee after training period. Correspondence:Proven ability to type 55 wpm required. Proficient in computer technology required, including troubleshooting systems. Thorough knowledge of current version of Microsoft Office required. Working knowledge of spreadsheet and/or graphics software preferred. Imaging:Working knowledge of Windows software and policy management system required. Familiarity with ERIE policies and lines of business preferred.
