Documentation Manufacturing Engineer
Require a technical degree and with an engineering background
Technical Work Instructions Creator enables efficient operation of manufacturing optics by delivering on quality manufacturing instructions with embedded instructions utilizing written and graphical format. Be a champion of continuous improvement by being creative, thoughtful and pay attention to details. In this cross functional role, you would be working closely with operations, engineering, planning and quality to
• Create detailed and clear manufacturing instructions (methods), outlining each step of manufacturing operations with clearly defined written and visual instructions. Candidate should be well versed with balance between brevity and detail needed in instructions.
• Enable video-based training and on-boarding instructions for ease of manufacturing and reduce the learning curve for new and existing employees.
• Working with engineering, modify existing methods to reduce scrap by helping create detailed and effective solutions for rework cycles.
• Candidate should be able to access ITAR and other classified documents.
• Candidate should know or be willing to learn about the document release and control processes.
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment to meet customer commitments.
• Any other responsibilities as assigned by hiring manager
Bachelor’s degree with 2 or more years of experience in distribution and creation of technical work instructions. A position may be offered as a method engineer for candidates with technical degrees in STEM.
Strong experience in technical writing with ability to read complex technical drawings, written specifications, and verbal instructions with minimum supervision. Work would require inspection of optical surfaces per MIL and ISO standards.
This is a 1st shift position, but support engineer may be asked to support operations during other shifts (<10%) of time.
Pay Details: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour
