About the Job
Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio is hiring an ADC Assistant Manager.
The ADC Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting in the supervision of ADC personnel, proper handling, and processing of all donations at the Attended Donation Centers, community donor drives, and scheduled pickups. Accountable for the overall image, customer service, stewardship of donations, integrity of donor counts, and customer service.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure ADC personnel meet high standards of customer service, follow proper sorting procedures, maintain a clean work environment, and follow proper dress and grooming guidelines as established by Retail Operations.
- Regularly visit each ADC to provide ongoing training and development of ADC personnel.
- Work with the Transportation and ADC Manager on a regular basis to conduct audits and participate in monthly team meetings.
- Open and close ADC locations as required.
- Assist in hiring, training, evaluating, and providing first-level coaching to ADC personnel.
- Greet donors in a prompt, friendly, and courteous manner within 10 seconds; unloads donations from vehicles, offer tax receipts, and maintain accurate daily counts of donations.
- Maintain, record, and report donation counts to the Transportation and ADC Manager.
- Notify Facilities of any maintenance requests.
- Order and maintain supplies in an efficient manner. Responsible for securing and appropriately using those supplies.
- Maintain a safe workplace and comply with all state and federal safety and health regulations as well as company safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure the security of donated goods through the enforcement of security guidelines and standards.
- Adhere to all Goodwill personnel policies and procedures; follow good safety and security practices, including reporting safety hazards and injuries.
- Other duties as assigned.
Specific Experience/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively with managers, subordinates, and donors.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while at the same time fostering a strong team atmosphere and positive promotion of agency.
- Ability to drive a box truck.
- Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work as well as concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to seek out internal and external resources to accomplish desired results.
- Ability to effectively use computer applications, including email, word processing, spreadsheets, and other applications as determined appropriate by Goodwill.
- Ability to deliver trailers (MADC) to schools, businesses, and customers' houses.
