AUtah Housing Corporation (UHC) located in West Valley City, Utah is seeking to hire a full-time, experienced, self-directed individual for our Down Payment Assistance (DPA) Specialist and Document Coordinator who excels in customer service for our Mortgage Banking Department.
This DPA Specialist and Document Coordinator earns $45,000-$57,000, depending on education and experience. Our comprehensive benefits and flexible work hours are great! A DAY IN THE LIFE AS OUR DPA SPECIALIST AND DOCUMENT COORDINATOR
The successful candidate will be responsible for the confidentiality, safety, and security of mortgage documents. The position requires filing, document distribution, management and security of legal documents. Must effectively communicate with title companies, staff members, homebuyers, and participating lenders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS FOR OUR DPA SPECIALIST AND DOCUMENT COORDINATOR
- Manage the administration of reserving funds for Special programs UHC administers.
- Review and determine eligibility and funding for Special Programs.
- Calculate income eligibility and prepare documents for closing and funding.
- Processing and tracking contents of incoming Mortgage Banking mail.
- Accurately scanning and indexing original Notes into UHC's electronic delivery system (VirPak).
- Assisting with the collection and distribution of original Recorded Deed of Trusts and Title Policies.
- Transferring FHA Mortgage Insurance Certificates to UHC when loans are purchased.
- Preparing reassignments and return of assigned, repurchased, and paid off Notes as instructed by management..
- Acting as an authorized agent for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae, and other investors, keeping Mortgage Documents safe, secure, and readily available upon request by management or an audit.
- Assisting homebuyers to the agency or lender that can help them work towards homeownership.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR OUR DPA SPECIALIST AND DOCUMENT COORDINATOR
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience: One year document tracking, filing documents, distributing mail and scanning mail into computer operating systems and computer tracking software. Two years business and customer service experience. Three years mortgage experience.
Knowledge Required: Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and spreadsheets, Loan Originating or Library Operating tracking systems and Mortgage Software. Effective communication and customer service skills.
