Draw & Strand Operator - Entegee

Summary: Seeking a Draw & Strand Operator - Crew 1 to operate, monitor, and maintain wire and cable production lines ensuring quality and adherence to ISO standards.

Job Requirements:

• High school degree required

• Understanding of basic line operation and components

• Knowledge of tools and measuring devices used in the industry

• Experience with pay-off and take-up equipment operation

• Familiarity with ISO requirements for production lines

• Ability to select and install gears and dies

• Capability to load/unload heavy wire spools

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in the wire & cable industry

Job Responsibilities:

• Comply with company safety rules at all times

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of equipment/work area

• Set up mechanical lines including tooling installation for specified gauge sizes

• Monitor raw material supply for continuous operation

• Perform measurements to ensure final product meets specifications

• Verify calibration of measuring devices

• Take corrective actions to ensure product quality

• Generate identification tags for finished products and maintain accurate records

• Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts

• Maintain ISO certification adherence

• Follow production tracking report schedule

• Inspect empty take-up reels for proper size, strength, appearance, and cleanliness

• Operate take-up machine ensuring neat reel production free of crossovers/loops

• Weld wire to maintain spool-to-spool operation

Pay Details: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
