Learn more about Our History and What We Do The position of PART TIME Driver with Intertek consists primarily of driving the company vehicle to and from various locations efficiently and safely for the company and the company clients, and to maintain the records associated therewith.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO ON THE JOB, IN THIS PART TIME ROLE:
- To drive the company vehicle to pick up samples and other items from internal and external customers. Run errands for Intertek as requested by the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor.
- The Driver must ensure that company vehicles are in good repair and clean and accurate records of service are maintained. Maintain adequate fuel levels in vehicles to perform duties.
- To adhere to all Company safety and applicable quality procedures.
- To perform any reasonable additional duties as may be assigned by supervision.
- To carry out the above responsibilities, and all others which may be assigned, in a manner demonstrating support for and adherence to the Company's Safety Policy and Procedures, Quality Policy and Procedures, Ethics Policy, Environmental Management System, Vision and Strategy, and to exercise good judgment, common sense, and diplomacy in so doing.
HERE'S WHAT IT TAKES TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS PART TIME ROLE:
- *Valid driver's license and reliable driving record (required)
- TWIC preferred.
- Must have the ability to navigate highways, efficiently.
- In conformance with CWI/035/10, must be trained in D.O.T. regulations for the shipping of hazardous materials, and must undergo annual retraining.
- High school education, or GED preferred
- Effective communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Must physically be capable of performing the work required.
