Driver-Meals On Wheels - R.A.I.N. Total Care

Position Summary

Driver is responsible for driving safely, vehicle maintenance and delivering meals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in packaging of home delivered meals
• Transports and delivers catered meals to senior’s homes
• Maintain daily temperature log for hot and frozen meals
• Ensures meals are securely fastened to meal transporter
• Collects and records contributions and reports them to supervisor daily
• Completes daily passenger log for trips
• Oversee the maintenance, repair and cleaning of vehicles including but not limited to gas, oil changes, tires, etc.
• Inspects vehicle daily and documents findings
• Keeps vehicle repair log
• Keeps daily gasoline and mileage log
• Keeps uniform clean
• Keeps cell phone charged and working
• Keeps first aid kit up to date
• Pick-up and return van to parking lot daily
• Follows DFTA policy in regards to operation of vehicles, customer service and safety.

Minimum Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED
• Minimum 2 years driving experience
• Valid Driving License
