Dryer Operator - Royal Fresh Cuts

Job Description

The Dryer Operator is responsible for ensuring that all products are blended and dried per the correct specification while meeting all safety, quality, and efficiency standards. The main essential job functions include: loading and unloading washed product into centrifuge dryers and manually dumping product directly into feed hoppers.

Duties and responsibilities

• Communicate and understand Production schedule.
• Operate drying equipment with manual controls
• Perform line changeovers as required.
• Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
• Comply with company's safety program at all times.
• Ensure that the products are safe and meet the customer specifications.
• Communicate quality issues of prep product to the appropriate personnel.
• Communicate mechanical issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Ensure that product is properly mixed in the hoppers.
• Ensure that proper blend ratios are achieved if applicable.
• Responsible for the proper and accurate completion of any documentation.
• Follow and complete the daily production schedule, including changes that may occur during the course of the shift.
• Responsible for meeting machine efficiency and effectiveness.
• Able to meet daily production standards.
• Perform daily dryer inspection at the start of the shift.
• Perform hoist inspections at the start of the shift.
• Wear all required PPE while on the production floor.
• Handling product that may have a temperature of 32-36 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Responsible for counting and keeping track of product dumped into the hoppers.
• Safely operate hoists & dryers.
• Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices are adhered to at all times.
• Keep your Supervisor informed of any problems or unsafe conditions.
• Do not attempt to open an electrical panel
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications include: Basic Math Aptitude, Good Attendance Record, Strong Communication Skills, Ability to Maintain Focus.

Working conditions

Cold Environment > 38°, Wet at times, Fast Pace, Non-Stationary Equipment (Dryer Baskets), Standing for Long Periods of Time.

Move 50+ Lbs, Pulling, Pushing
