Dryer Operator - Fresh Express

Job Title: Dryer OperatorFood Safety Role & Responsibility:As an individual, the incumbent must understand the Food Safety Statement, complete the required training, perform work assignments in accordance with training and display an acceptable level of competency with all Quality Assurance/Safety/Security policies and training requirements. Areas of food safety training will include, but are not limited to, GMP, HACCP, Food Safety and Quality Statement, FSSC 22000/Global Food Safety Policy/Food Safety Goals, Visitor/Food/Site Security, Emergency Preparedness, and Bloodborne Pathogens. Some additional items will include: Color Coding, Waste Management, and Rework. The individual must also request additional and/or refresher training if he or she feels that it is needed to effectively perform requirements in specific areas of responsibility. Summary:This position is responsible for loading and unloading raw materials into automatic dryers and manually dumping product directly onto feed conveyors for the duration of 8 hours or more depending on volume and according to customer specification.Job Function Statements Essential Functions: Pushes and pulls barrels on roller deck. Safely operates hoists and dryers. Transfers filled baskets of product in and out of dryers. Ensures transfer of product from shaker to dryer basket and then to production line. Handling product that may have a temperature of 32-36 degrees Fahrenheit. Perform other duties (such as basic housekeeping) as assigned.Required Qualifications/Skills:- Physical requirements: must be able to stand for the duration of the shift (8 hours or more), perform repetitive motions throughout shift such as push/pull/lift, bend continuously throughout the shift, lift up to 50 pounds, and be able to climb stairs or step up onto a platform several times throughout the shift.- Must be able to work in a noisy, wet and cold environment of approximately 36 degrees Fahrenheit- Must be able to work 6 consecutive days, overtime and weekends if necessary- Must be able to countOther Desired Qualifications/Skills:Attention to detailBasic math skillsAbility to work in a fast pace environmentMust have a team player attitudeExperience:6+ work experienceEducation/Training:High school preferred
