Responsibilities include coordinating patient flow, gathering patient information, and assisting closely with Providers while working in a fast-paced environment. This position will work collaboratively with all healthcare team members toward positive outcomes for the patient, perform phlebotomy services, collection and handling of specimens. Must have a friendly demeanor, great attitude, and patient-focused work ethic who can communicate with kindness and professionalism.
The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm supporting our Van Plaza locations.
Pay range starts at $20.55 with active Washington State Department of Health Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist credential and goes up based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate patient flow into exam rooms for the providers, gather pertinent data from the patient, take vitals and document completely and accurately.
- Update patient's chart; medications, allergies, health maintenance system at time patient is roomed.
- Perform phlebotomy services, collection and handling of specimens
- Prepare patient, supplies and instrumentation appropriate to exam for provider exam.
- Clean and sterilize equipment. Clean exam rooms.
- Stock exam rooms by maintaining adequate supplies. Remove all expired supplies and document appropriately.
- Document refrigerator and freezer temperatures each workday.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Current Washington State Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist credential or obtain within 90 days of hire and current Washington State Nursing Assistant-Certified credential required.
- Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS CPR certification.
- Prefer those with patient care experience.
- Experience with an electronic health record, Epic experience strongly preferred.
- Must have reliable and predictable attendance.
Pay Range:
$20.16 - $28.21

PTO and Personal Time accruals are pro-rated by FTE/hours worked. Non-benefits eligible employees will accrue Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked.
