This is an experienced skilled crafts position that creates value by Understanding PLC programming, electrical systems, troubleshooting, and ensuring production equipment operates at optimum performance levels to meet productivity goals. This position will support the long-term quality and production goals of the organization by demonstrating teamwork and initiative and by adhering to all safety standards and codes. The pay range for the position is $26.00 - $37.64 per hour and the hours are 7:00 am - 3:00 pm to include working weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
Our Team
Located on the Kerr-McClellan Navigational Channel (Arkansas River) on about 640 acres of land, the Muskogee consumer products operation spans across approximately 70 acres (or 2,900,000 square feet) of manufacturing and warehouse space are "under roof" employing approximately 830 employees. We are the second largest employer in the Muskogee, OK area and 45th in the state! Our non-union facility operates on 12-hour shifts, 7 days per week, 365 days per year; housing 2 of the 13 largest tissue machines in the world and paper machines that produce an average of 900 tons of paper per day. Our finished product consists of a mix of 40% Retail and 60% Commercial.
What You Will Do
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of all electrical/control system components to include motors, solenoids, valves, limit switches, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), I/O modules, photo-eye sensors and power distribution systems. Inspecting, cleaning, calibrating and maintaining high voltage distribution equipment
- Understand and troubleshoot, AC/DC Drives and Servo controllers.
- Understand PLC Ladder Logic for various controllers and interfaces, troubleshooting equipment while online with the PLC.
- Apply all applicable codes, regulations, reliability strategies, corporate and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) standards
- Improve operations productivity and quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, and coordination of labor, parts, material, tools, and equipment access
- Contact vendors and manufacturers as needed for support with issue resolution
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- High School Diploma or GED
- One of the following:
- Associate or Technical degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Systems, Instrumentation, or Electronic Technology
- At least two (2) years of electrical/electronic/controls troubleshooting experience in a maintenance manufacturing environment
- Experience reading and following electrical and maintenance schematics/blueprints
- Experience in PLC systems, including understanding PLC ladder logic.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience with systems integration to include advanced PLC troubleshooting
- Experience with Arrays and Servo control within the PLC logic
- Experience with HMI Programming
- Experience with Instrumentation and controls loops
- Experience with Programming Variable speed frequency drives
- Experience with Servo systems (A-B)
- Experience with Fanuc robots
- Associates degree or higher, plus two or more years working in a manufacturing environment
