E/M Technician at Micro Tech

Will work with an engineer to refurbish a large piece of automated equipment  . 

• Assemble or take apart systems and machinery, troubleshoot existing systems and ensure quality machine builds.
• Build machines and sub-assemblies 
• Work with tools such as wrenches, hand tools, power tools,  torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, height gages, and dial indicators
• Read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, part prints and parts lists and materials lists.
• Perform troubleshooting of the Systems and Machinery, identifying anomalies and stoppages using prints, schematic and wiring diagrams as well as test equipment.  
• Perform inspection and evaluation of parts, subsystems, and systems to perform to specification.  Participation in Factory Acceptance Testing events.  
• Assist engineers in prototype, product design and troubleshooting 
• Use standard mechanical build, electrical, and test equipment to perform basic functional testing.
• Document actions, findings and methods as required.

• 3+ years of Machine Build/Assembly experience is strongly desired. 
• Strong mechanical background.
• Knowledge of machine tools and equipment like mills, lathes, grinders, saws, power and hand tools.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings/prints/diagrams.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues
• Possess a solid, quality minded work ethic and strong attention to detail
