Speech-Language Pathologist 2024-2025
AnthroMed Education is a therapy group made up of Speech-Language Pathologists who support children in schools by providing high-quality speech services. We are expanding our team in Madison Heights and looking for SLPs with a passion for providing therapy in schools!
The ideal candidate will be passionate about improving students' communication skills and academic outcomes, demonstrating empathy, patience, and a collaborative approach in working with students, families, and school staff.
In this role, the SLP will be working specifically in the early childhood center in the district. Additionally, they will be placed in the self-contained room, supporting students with AAC devices.
Our Process:

- Start interviewing with our school partners to dive into the caseload, school culture, and specifics for each role.
- Bi-weekly team meetings to brainstorm and problem solve with other SLPs!
- Dedicated SLP Clinical support including 1:1 caseload guidance, speech therapy materials database, and free continuing education opportunities!

- Evaluate student’s speech-language abilities to prepare and conduct treatment plans
- Provide high-quality direct speech-language therapy services to students according to the students’ IEPs
- Conduct assessments, translate, and analyze assessment results, and develop reports to determine strengths and concerns in areas of speech, voice, fluency, pragmatics, language, and oral motor skills
- Use professional literature, evidence-based research, and continuing education to make practice decisions
- Create a learning environment characterized by effective and efficient process management strategies (procedures, instructional groups, transition materials)
- Participate in IEP conferences, team meetings, and problem-solving meetings
- Develop treatment plans, in conjunction with instructional staff, that are strength-based, as well as child and family-centered for overall educational improvement
- Ensure evaluations, intervention plans, and service delivery are aligned with school, state, and federal guidelines
- Assist and guide teachers in observing, describing, and referring suspected and identified speech and language delays/disorders
- Other duties as assigned
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current Michigan state license or eligibility for licensure.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Experience working with school-aged children.
- Knowledge of special education laws and procedures, including IDEA and IEP development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and colleagues.
