About the Job
Bright Light Academy is seeking an experienced teacher to join our infants' teaching team.
The ideal candidates will have at least a CDA, or 15 credits in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Children & Families or other related field, as well at least two years experience working with infants & toddlers, be a team player & have a passion for early learning.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with co-teachers to plan & implement daily lesson plans & activities.
- Help create a safe & stimulating classroom environment for the center's infants.
- Monitor & engage with children during playtime, meals & other daily routines.
- Provide individual & group support to children as needed.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development & progress.
- Complete child assessments & participate in parent/teacher conferences.
- Mentor new & less experienced staff.
Qualifications:
- Child Development Associate's certification or at least 15 credits in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Children & Families or another related field
- Two+ years experience working with young children, preferably ages 6 weeks to 2 years.
- Must qualify as a Assistant Group Supervisor or Group Supervisor with DHS.
- Pass state, federal & child abuse background checks.
- Be 18 years or older & able to work in the United States.
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Be able to lift up to 40lbs, see, hear & sit on the floor with children.
- Must be patient, nurturing & able to create a positive learning environment.
Position Overview:
- This is a full-time, year round position.
- Pay range starts at $16.50 up to $18 (relative to experience & education) per hour with a pay increase based on performance & education at the end of a 90 day probation period.
- Full-time staff also receive paid holidays, PTO, sick-time,dental or vision insurance, reduced child care & more.
- Full-time staff work a four-day work week!
