Purpose:
Snohomish County Human Services is hiring for an Early Learning Mental Health Specialist to provide leadership and consultation support for Early Head Start, Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP) mental health services, coaching initiatives, and program compliance. This position requires knowledge and experience related to infant-child mental health practices; bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred. This position is a full-time exempt position.
About This Position:
This position is responsible for collaborating with program staff and community partners to develop capacity related to strengthening children’s social-emotional development by supporting the parent/caregiver relationship with the child.
Responsibilities include program planning and implementation, consultation support for program staff (training, coaching, technical assistance), and facilitation of community partnerships. These positions will work closely with our program supervisors, contracted providers, funders, other Snohomish County programs, and community partners.
About You:
You have knowledge and experience related to infant-child mental health practices. You are an individual who is committed to collaborating with families, early learning providers, and community services to support healthy child development. You are passionate and have the core values and skills to foster inclusive communities that promote family wellbeing and foster strong parent/caregiver relationship with their child and healthy child development - especially for those furthest from opportunity. You have experience developing programs, providing consultation/training services, and establishing trusting and effective relationships.
You enjoy developing community partnerships and facilitating collaborative initiatives. You have strong skills related to communication, organization, and building solutions.
