Earthwork Senior Estimator - Gpac

gpac is partnering with a leading commercial and residential site development company in Pennsylvania. With over 50 years in business and a strong portfolio of projects, our partner is a $100M+ company known for its excellence in underground wet utilities and earthworks. We are seeking a talented Senior Estimator to join their team and contribute to their continued success.

Position Overview: The Senior Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for commercial and residential site development projects. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience estimating underground wet utilities and earthworks, with a solid background in either commercial site development or residential subdivision projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for a variety of site development projects, including underground wet utilities and earthworks.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to determine material, labor, and equipment costs.
• Use B2W or Bid2Win as the primary estimating software; experience with HCSS is also acceptable.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure estimates align with project requirements and budgets.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather necessary information for accurate estimation.
• Prepare and present proposals and cost breakdowns to clients and stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress and adjust estimates as needed to account for changes or unforeseen conditions.
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing and negotiate contracts.
• Ensure all estimating practices comply with industry standards and company policies.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in estimating underground wet utilities and earthworks, with a focus on commercial site development or residential subdivision projects.
• Proficiency in B2W or Bid2Win estimating software; experience with HCSS is a plus.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with the ability to provide accurate cost estimates.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.
• Proven track record of successful estimating in the site development industry.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive salary range: $120,000 - $140,000 base salary.
• Discretionary yearly bonus.
