Echo Tech - Per Diem - Day Shift

Join our top-notch team, and help our diverse patient population with rare, critical conditions. Complete reports of echocardiogram examinations, including complete measurements and preliminary interpretations. Complete echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms for outpatients and inpatients. The techs also support TAVR and RAMP cases done in the Cath Labs for pre and post imaging. As an academic medical center, the techs are part of fellow training in cardiology. They also are responsible for maintaining all Echo related equipment. 

This is a per diem position, providing coverage on an as-needed basis. Shifts will fall anywhere between 6:00am-6:00pm.

Preferred Criteria

• Prior experience in an inpatient setting

Required Criteria

• Cardiovascular Ultrasound Program Graduate
• High school diploma or equivalent 
• At least 1 year of experience

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic

  Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) within one year of hire (Registry Eligible at hire)

• BLS certification through AHA

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
