Echocardiography Technologist - Cardiac Imaging

Location: Santa Rosa, CA

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a skilled and dedicated Echocardiography Technologist to join our partner medical center in Santa Rosa, CA. We are currently offering both full-time and per diem shifts, providing flexibility for qualified candidates.

Position Summary:

In this role, you will play a critical part in the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular conditions. You'll be responsible for performing a variety of echocardiographic examinations and procedures, using state-of-the-art equipment to produce high-quality images of the heart.

Responsibilities:

• Perform echocardiograms and other non-invasive cardiac imaging procedures on patients of all ages.
• Prepare patients for examinations, explaining the procedure, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort throughout the process.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and other diagnostic tools, adjusting settings to obtain optimal images.
• Analyze and interpret echocardiographic data, recognizing normal and abnormal cardiac anatomy and physiology.
• Document findings accurately and clearly in patient records.
• Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited school of medical-cardiac ultrasound or equivalent training.
• Upon hire:
  • National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) OR
  • National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in echocardiography.
