Overall Responsibilities:
The EDI Specialist is responsible for implementing and maintaining Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) with various Trading Partners. This role requires a deep understanding of EDI documents (850, 855, 856, 810, etc.) and their application to each Trading Partner's specific requirements. You will provide technical support during and after EDI implementations, troubleshoot issues, and work collaboratively with multiple teams within IT and Operations to resolve problems and identify opportunities for process improvements.
Essential Functions:
Analyze EDI requirements for each implementation and identify unique or complex circumstances.
Troubleshoot and resolve EDI-related issues, deploying solutions to prevent recurrence.
Create and maintain project schedules for each EDI implementation to ensure accountability for critical tasks.
Provide advice and training on EDI capabilities, especially when onboarding new Trading Partners.
Serve as a liaison between clients and internal/external IT or Developer resources to implement and support EDI workflows, maintaining communication with Trading Partners.
Build strategic partnerships with the sales team to ensure client needs are accurately addressed, building trust and delivering timely results.
Develop KPIs and reporting metrics to monitor supplier data accuracy, trending, and exceptions.
Periodically review systems to ensure client needs are met and recommend modifications as necessary.
Stay current with technological developments in the EDI and internet fields.
Optimize the use of organizational resources, ensuring efficiency.
Act as a backup for sending EDI documents when needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
Perform other related operational duties as assigned.
Provide input on process and procedure improvements.
Participate in IT projects related to Operations as required.
Perform systems testing and provide feedback on results.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Responsibilities:
Work effectively with personnel across the company, maintaining a strong customer focus.
Collaborate closely with IT on software and infrastructure matters.
Manage time effectively, prioritizing critical path requirements.
Implement Lean initiatives by identifying and eliminating non-value-added work.
Ensure adherence to all company policies, including safety regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Computer Science or related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
Minimum of three years of experience in an EDI service center or Operations environment.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based Operations/IT setting.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project.
Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Intermediate knowledge of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) principles.
Demonstrated proficiency in:

Physical Requirements:
Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs (less than 35% of the time) at waist level or above/below waist level.
Occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs (less than 10% of the time) above shoulder level.
Standing for up to 30% of the time.
Working in and around automated equipment, including climbing ladders and working at heights of 15 feet or more.
Compensation details: 73000-75000 Yearly Salary
