**THIS POSITION IS HYBRID AND IS REQUIRED TO BE IN THE OFFICE 2 DAYS PER WEEK AND LOCAL TO ROCKVILLE, MD**
The Greater Capital Area Association of REALTORS® (GCAAR), one of the nation’s largest local real estate associations serving more than 10,000 members, is looking for a detail-oriented administrative professional to fill our Education Coordinator role. Reporting to the Education Manager, this role will be an integral part of our education team, supporting all of our members.
This is a full-time position for a highly organized, self-motivated individual with strong writing and people skills. The Education Coordinator is primarily based in Rockville but will travel with GCAAR-on-the-Go. This position is also required to be in the Rockville, MD office 2 days per week.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
*Support continuing education and professional development classes, including coordination with instructors and students.
*Proctor education classes, enforce commission rules, and maintain records of attendance. Provide students with proof of course completion as needed.
*Support the distribution, coordination, and collection of course outlines, speaker information, and materials.
*Answer general education questions received through incoming phone calls and emails.
*Update and maintain education information in the database.
*Compile evaluations of instructors and GCAAR educational offerings and prepare summary reports.
*Provide backup support for our GCAAR-on-the-Go program.
*Assist with special projects.
*Assist at conferences and events as needed.
*Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
*0-1 years previous office support or administrative experience in a similar setting.
*Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred or equivalent work experience required.
*Excellent verbal, written, and proofreading skills.
*Self-confident team player with strong interpersonal skills.
*Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and databases; ability to learn new systems.
*Able to meet time-sensitive deadlines, multitask, and work both independently and in a team environment.
*Ability to lift and move heavy items to facilitate events.
*Able and willing to work a flexible schedule that will include evening and weekend work.
*Must have the ability to work from home and have reliable internet.
*Must have own transportation and ability to work in Rockville as well as broker offices across our service area.
Location
**The Education Coordinator will work in the Rockville, MD office, work remotely 2-3 days per week and be available to travel to broker offices and special events when needed.
**Applicants cannot hold an active real estate license. If you want to be considered for employment, you would have to put the license on “Inactive” status prior to employment.
