What you will do:
- Contribute to the achievement of quality intervention and student outcomes utilizing evidenced based teaching strategies or applied behavior analysis.
- Support students in achieving their highest potential through acquiring new skills and reducing challenging behaviors under the supervision a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and Special Education Teacher
- Provide a structured and supportive educational environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide effective behavior analytic treatment through implementation of individually designed programs for children with development disorders.
- Record and analyze data to track progress
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) – “What you will need”:
- Education: Please see License/Certifications
- License/Certifications: Special Ed Tech II (60-89 college credits in approved study) or Certification as an Education Technician IIfrom the Maine Department of Education (minimum of 90+ credits in approved study). Certification as School-Based Behavioral Health Professional will be provided upon hire.
- Experience: 1+ year of experience working with children or youth with developmental disorders, mental health disorders, and/or challenging behavior in school, hospital, or residential setting preferred.
