The Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology has an outstanding opportunity for a **Education and Tracking Coordinator** **WORK SCHEDULE**
+ 40 hours per week

+ High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in the program specialtyOR
+ Equivalent education/experience. **ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Advanced skills with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook as well as Adobe Acrobat.Ability to build spreadsheets, pivot tables, use equations, and execute email merges.
+ Exceptional presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
+ Self-starter with demonstrated initiative in anticipating and resolving complex problems. Ability to learn quickly and to apply learning to similar situations.
+ Proven ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities; maintain flexibility when dealing with shifting priorities.Ability to pay strong attention to detail.
+ Demonstrated strong interpersonal and customer service skills; demonstrated ability to work and communicate courteously with managers, faculty, and staff.
+ Demonstrated experience in handling the logistics of setting up events, room reservations, and ensuring that requirements of a program are met.
+ Proven ability to keep employee information confidential with a high degree of tact, judgment, discretion, and diplomacy. **PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Implements new tracking and training programs and projects.
+ Serves as a liaison at department and Medical Centers meetings and effectively present division messages and policies/procedures. Serve as backup trainer for the department orientation or other training if the Education/Orientation and Training Specialist is not available.
+ Guides employees and managers in understanding and meeting division policies/regulations as they relate to the department, the Medical Centers, the Joint Commission, CAP, and the DOH.
+ Creates, maintains and archives personnel files as employees are hired, transferred, and separated.
+ Maintains the Education database with necessary personnel data. Builds reports and graphs to display information relevant to completion of department division tasks and communicating data to department leadership. In addition, enters education and certification data into Workday.
+ Sets up initial and ongoing safety and compliance training for employees in the LMS, MTS, and EH&S. Sets up department orientation onboarding materials and processes for new hires. Assists with updating orientation materials as necessary.
+ Prompts managers and employees to complete education and hospital requirements and deadlines.
+ Responsible for preparing and sending MA-Phlebotomy and Surgical Technician certification renewals to the DOH.
+ Responsible for coordinating Lab Medicine Recognition Ceremony preparation and execution by determining milestone awardees, ordering materials, and making auditorium/reception and resource reservations. Coordinates speakers for the ceremony.
+ Responsible for pulling records for Public Service Record audits/requests as directed by the Associate Director and Education/Orientation and Training Specialist.
+ Coordinates room reservations for training events and meetings.
+ Responsible for ordering office supplies and submitting purchases in Purchase Path.
