Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma

• 2 years in ambulatory physician practice setting required 

• Current Medical Assistant Certification through one of the agencies approved by DHMF (must be certified through AMT, AAMA, CCBMA, or NCCT)

• Current American Heart Association issued Basic Life Support (BLS)

• Language Skills: Fluent English required.

• Must be able to speak clearly and have the ability to hear students in a one on one and classroom setting.

• Ability to present information in a clear and concise format to various audience levels in classroom.

Preferred

• Strongly preferred MAs with Phlebotomy Certification; administration of inhaled medication training and PPD Skin Test Reading and documentation training.

• Education or precepting experience preferred.

• Multi-language skills preferred.

• Knowledge of instructional skills and adult learning theory educational techniques and methodologies.
