• POSITION SUMMARY
  • Position Summary:
    • Electroencephalographic (EEG) Technician performs electroencephalograms in accordance with established practices and procedures. Attaches electrodes to the patient. Being an EEG Technician records impulse frequencies and differences in electrical potential between various areas of the brain to obtain data for use in the diagnosis of brain disorders. Provides preliminary diagnostic evaluation and notifies neurologist of results of examinations. Additionally, EEG Technician consults with neurologist to establish requirements for non-standard examinations and determines technical factors to satisfy requirements. Technician will also be responsible for other testing in the Non-Invasive Cath Lab (NICL), such as electrokardiograms (EKGs), monitor application and stress testing. There is also the opportunity to study for and be eligible to perform echocardiograms.
• POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum Education
    • High School graduate or GED
  • Minimum Experience
    • 1 to 3 years related experience
  • Required Registration/License/Certification
    • BLS Certification within 90 days of employment
