Job Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive environmental health and safety programs for manufacturing operations, construction sites, and various locations.
- Ensure compliance with written programs, customer compliance websites, posters, logs, marketing materials, and documentation for regulatory agencies.
- Represent the company during audits from regulatory bodies or customers, facilitate corrective actions, and handle communications related to audits or inquiries.
- Establish inspection policies, procedures, and schedules for routine inspections, involving all employees and ensuring timely implementation of identified improvements.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, determine root causes, and collaborate with leadership and human resources to implement corrective actions.
- Analyze data to predict hazards and co-develop health and safety procedures for all areas of the company, including offsite customer locations.
- Prepare, schedule, and deliver safety training on emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics for new hires, annual compliance, and post-accident situations.
- Develop processes that reinforce safe behaviors and contribute to a culture of safety.
- Support human resources by providing documentation for work compensation processing.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Five years of related experience preferred.
- OSHA 30 Hour Certification in both Construction and General Industry.
- Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies in manufacturing facilities and construction sites.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in technology and equipment used for environmental inspections, as well as Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Successful experience with change management.
