The Environmental Health & Safety Manager is responsible for the integration of environmental health & safety services into the business practices and compliance with regulatory requirements on their assigned Project. The EHS manager shall be project based. The EHS manager oversees responsibilities of their assigned Project as related to environmental health & safety services and has direct interaction with EH&S Staff, Superintendents, Project Manager, Project Executive and Area / Regional EHS Director.
EHS Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree – Occupational Safety / Health, or an engineering discipline degree or equivalent combination of training and related experience
- 5+ years prior relevant experience in heavy civil infrastructure construction.
- Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution.
- Typically requires advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
