Overview:
The EHS Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety, health, and environmental compliance of the organization. They are responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining programs, policies, and procedures to minimize risk, comply with regulations, and promote a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Train and advise employees, contractors, and visitors on HSE protocols
Develop and implement EHS management systems and programs
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate control measures
Manage hazardous materials and ensure proper disposal
Lead incident investigations and develop corrective action plans
Prepare and submit required safety and environmental reports
Provide expertise and guidance on EHS matters
Conduct regular audits and inspections
Develop and maintain EHS policies and procedures
Participate in regulatory agency inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulations
Lead continuous improvement initiatives
Prepare and maintain EHS documentation and records
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, or related field
3-5 years of proven experience in EHS management
Strong leadership, incident investigation, and project management skills
Certification in EHS (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) is preferred
Glass, ceramics, and/or concrete industry experience is strongly preferred
