Role Summary:
- The EHS Program Manager will be leading deployment of the Centre of Excellence for EHS at a leading manufacturing organization. The program manager will be responsible for managing the delivery aspects across design, deployment, training, testing and GO – LIVE for an enterprise management system. The program manager will be steering the implementation & management of the COE, driving rapid system deployment, design & process standardization.
- Minimum 10 to 12 years of experience in EHS Systems Design or implementation or management (note: system not restricted to IT systems)
- Experienced in managing large scale implementation, cross functional projects, spanning across geographies, business units & varied compliance requirements
- Awareness of EHS market in terms of software available
- MBA from a reputed institute, preferably having one of the subjects focused on Sustainability, EHS Policies, Corporate Sustainability, Environmental Sciences etc; OR
- M.Sc in Environment Sciences / MS Management from a reputed institute
- PMI Certification or relevant experience to manage large scale projects
- Should have experience working as a consultant in several of the above areas for multinational clients
- Exposure and understanding to enterprise management systems, cloud based deployment, large scale EHS application rationalization programs
- Must Have for the Role
- Past experience of working in sustainability related topics like Enterprise Environment, Health and Safety, Environmental Due Diligence, energy management, water management, emissions etc
- Hands-on experience of working on projects across manufacturing industry
- Hands-on experience of designing or implementing or managing large scale enterprise wide EHS projects
- Experienced in consulting for international clients
- Experience in handling multi – tier stakeholders across geographies and interest groups
- Experience in handling big size teams (combination of on-shore / offshore)
- Knowledge of understanding, mapping, and evaluating various business processes
- Excellent communication & customer orientation skills
- Strong Understanding of EHS based auditing standards, like OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 and knowledge of implementing integrated management systems
- Experience on leading change management for major enterprise projects

- Exposure to COTS based EHS software packages
- Exposure to Process Safety Standards (example API, CCPS)
- Background experience from a process, Client or food based industry
- Key Responsibilities
- Responsibilities as a part of the sustainability working group
- Steer the on-site program management for the Centre of Excellence (COE) for a major agro producer, based out of USA, having 1400 facilities & 140000 employee strength
- Lead the multiple delivery teams, across the domains of Health & Safety, Environmental, Food & Process Safety
- Provide strategic direction on global deployment model for a 3rd party COTS solution
- Act as a SPOC for senior management on managed consulting projects, connecting the outputs to long term service based models
- Lead continuous improvement model via progressive EHSapplication rationalization, driving analytics & insights
- Act as an enabler for the COE organization to define roadmap, towards achieving long term EHS goals, enabling the same to the on-going implementation strategy over a 5 year period
- Manage multi – tiered stakeholders across domains & interest areas
- Lead consulting & innovation based growth model for the account
