Position Summary
This position is responsible for meeting the goals and objectives of the organization by assisting in planning and implementing an EHS Excellence program while ensuring compliance with all state, federal and local governmental EHS regulations.

Position Summary
This position is responsible for meeting the goals and objectives of the organization by assisting in planning and implementing an EHS Excellence program while ensuring compliance with all state, federal and local governmental EHS regulations.
Essential Duties and Tasks
- Assist in the planning and implementation of safety and environmental policies and procedures including, but not limited to, written programs, recordkeeping, reports, inspections, monitoring, testing, and training.
- Supports compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations by staying informed about changes, interpreting requirements, and implementing necessary adjustments to programs, processes, and policies.
- Assist with delivery of EHS training programs to employees at all levels, to ensure employees' knowledge, understanding and adherence to safety and environmental regulations pertaining to all facilities.
- Conduct and document regular EHS audits and inspections as needed to assure compliance with applicable permits, regulations, and requirements.
- Manages workers compensation cases and EHS programs, including cost control/reduction and accident prevention/ reduction, safety behavior audit, and risk assessment programs
- Assist with the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Other duties assigned.
- HS/GED required; BS preferred in a related field
- Desire to pursue certifications to include Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Certified Safety Professional (ASP/CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
- 1-3 years' experience in a related field
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, Outlook email and calendar.
- Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.
- Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.
