Position Summary:
This role will contribute to, support, and drive an injury-free workplace and error reduction initiative to support Circulus’ goal of Zero Harm. Conducts safety, health, and environmental audits of buildings, facilities, and properties owned or leased by Circulus Holdings. Inspects tools, equipment, and machinery within Circulus Holdings facilities to verify safe and effective conditions and operations. Facilitates Job Hazard Assessments and plant hazard assessments to identify, mitigate, and control hazards in the workplace. Provides employees with safety, health, and environmental training applicable to their work processes. Performs incident investigations to determine root causes, circumstances, and contributing factors. Assists with developing recommendations and follow-up to prevent accident recurrence. Maintains comprehensive knowledge of local, state, and federal safety, health, and environmental regulations. The role requires the ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

•Lead, develop, and coach plant staff, as well as supervise and manage the respective facilities.
•Implement and manage corporate and external compliance systems for the respective facilities.
•Perform documented plant inspections for respective facility or other Circulus facilities as assigned.
•Facilitates and performs incident investigations for all incidents and near-misses.
•Distribute Lessons Learned and Incident Notifications to communicate hazards, incidents, etc. to respective plant and other Circulus facilities.
•Accompanied injured workers to occupational clinic or injury management as needed.
•Develops and conducts safety orientations and training for employees and temporary laborers.
•Conducts hazard assessments of jobs/tasks and the overall plant. Documents hazard assessments in accordance with corporate procedures.
•Track, analyze, summarize, report, and present all necessary SHE data for respective plant.
•Maintain a daily presence on the plant floor communicating with employees, conducting inspections, training, and verifying compliance of day-to-day operations.
•Manage compliance with environmental programs and regulations for respective plant. (CWA, CAA, Stormwater, RCRA, EPCRA)
•Assists with other duties as assigned or required.
•Ability to travel 10% of the time.

•Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Ability to use technology: computers and complex testing equipment. Quality understanding of safety, health, and environmental standards and regulations; local, state, and federal. Ability to use problem-solving skills to find solutions to unsafe working conditions and environmental concerns.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Well organized with a focused attention on detail.
•Demonstrate good attendance with the ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays, as required.
Work Environment, Schedule, and Physical Demands:
The work environment will be a mix of office and plant floor responsibilities, with a light focus on the plant floor The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but we do expect members to wear issued hearing protection.
We are a 24/7 process operation. The work schedule for this position is dictated by needs to manage and react to issues on the shifts. The planned schedule for this position is Monday through Fridays 7:00 AM through 4:00 PM, however the manager will often have to work an overlapping schedule to review, communicate, coach, and train the off shifts. This position is generally on call for assistance by their team on the off shifts.
This position will require the following physical demands. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• There will be moderate lifting - up to 50 pounds,
• Continually required to: lift and/or move up to 15 pounds, stand for several hours at a time, talk, or hear, work near moving mechanical parts, exposure to extreme heat or cold (non-weather), thermal conditions may exceed outdoor air temperatures at times,
• Frequently required to: lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, walk, required to utilize hand and finger dexterity, climb balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl; exposure to wet and/or humid
• Occasionally required to: lift and/or move 50 pounds, sit, work around fumes, airborne particles (below permissible exposure limits), work in high, precarious places, exposure to outside weather conditions, thermal conditions may exceed outdoor air temperatures at times.
• While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually loud to very loud at 85-100dB. Hearing protection is always required when on the plant floor.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Specialized equipment, machines, or vehicles used: may require the ability to operate a forklift, skid steer, mini excavator, and aerial work platforms (Scissor Lift and Boom Lift). Company will provide equipment operator training as required for the position.
