Job Details
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Elder Abuse Law Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our senior clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert legal counsel and representation to clients who have been victims of elder abuse, including physical abuse, emotional abuse, financial exploitation, and neglect.
Responsibilities:
As an Elder Abuse Law Attorney, you will be responsible for a broad range of duties, including but not limited to:
1. Conducting thorough and detailed legal research to identify and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations that are relevant to elder abuse cases.
2. Preparing and filing legal documents such as lawsuits, appeals, wills, contracts, and deeds.
3. Representing clients in court and advocating on their behalf during trials and hearings.
4. Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients who have been victims of elder abuse.
5. Collaborating with law enforcement agencies, social services departments, and other relevant organizations to investigate allegations of elder abuse.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Elder Abuse Law Attorney position will have the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 4 years of experience as a practicing attorney, preferably in the field of elder abuse law.
3. Proven experience in criminal defense, docketing, and legal research.
4. Active membership in the state bar and in good standing.
5. Exceptional negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
6. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound legal judgments.
