Selectek has a REMOTE opportunity for a talented Electric Utility Construction Estimator to join an industry-leading distribution construction team! In this remote role, you'll play a key role in project success by preparing and presenting accurate cost estimates for electric utility construction projects. You'll work closely with project managers throughout the entire project lifecycle, providing support and expertise.

Selectek has a REMOTE opportunity for a talented Electric Utility Construction Estimator to join an industry-leading distribution construction team! In this remote role, you'll play a key role in project success by preparing and presenting accurate cost estimates for electric utility construction projects. You'll work closely with project managers throughout the entire project lifecycle, providing support and expertise.

What You'll Do:
- Analyze project plans and specifications to ensure a deep understanding of the project scope and identify potential challenges.
- Utilize your estimating software skills (Planswift or On-Screen Takeoff preferred) to perform material take-offs and quantity calculations.
- Review bid documents and quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure best value.
- Craft detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment, keeping an eye on potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with project managers to review estimates and propose cost-saving strategies.
- Develop clear and professional proposal packages for project bids.
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of project budgets and cost reports.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits when necessary.
- Maintain meticulous records of all estimates and cost data.
You're a Perfect Fit If You Have:
- 5+ years of experience in estimating for electric utility distribution projects (MSA experience a plus)
- Proven ability to manage costs and a strong understanding of engineering principles related to distribution construction.
- Proficiency in estimating software (Planswift or On-Screen Takeoff preferred, but we're open to others)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and MS Project
