We are currently seeking Electrical Apprentices/Helpers for our West Texas operations in Pecos, Texas. Prefer Local candidates but will consider helpers who will work on a 2:1 rotation or M-F schedule. Can count on at least 50-60 hours per week. This is a fast-paced environment. Must be able to contend with the weather conditions in West Texas.
Apprentice/Helper
• Current Texas Apprentice License (Company will help set up if required)
• Minimum 1-year electrical experience (2 years of electrical experience preferred)
• Previous oilfield experience and knowledge is preferred
• High School Diploma/GED or higher level
• Basic computer knowledge (windows, email, internet, etc.)
• Good communication skills
• Basic math skills
• Reading skills (basic instructional and technical information) -OR-
• An acceptable combination of education and experience
• Must have clean driving record

Apprentice/Helper
- Help install power supply and automation wiring
- Help install conduit such as Rigid Metal Conduit, MC cable, strut, and cable tray
- Assist with troubleshooting electrical components, wiring diagrams, transformers, motors, panels, and circuits
- Help install, maintain, and repair electrical systems such as switch gears, motor controls, electrical panels, lighting, and power supplies
- Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit, using measuring instruments and hand tools
- Trace out short circuits in wiring, using a test meter
- Examine electrical units for loose connections and broken insulation and tighten connections using hand tools
- Construct controllers and panels, using power drills, taps, saws and punches
- Clean and maintain work area, truck, and trailer
- Maintain tools, vehicle, equipment, and keeping parts and supplies in order
